Since its inception in 2005, the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) has been keen on supporting the research efforts and developing the political, constitutional and legal domains in the country, as two prerequisites for raising awareness and reinforcing the political education process and the democratic experience in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In these areas, the Institute of Political Development (BIPD) has contributed a lot to the provision of varied publications ranging from books to studies, reports and published pamphlets and articles of all kinds.
This qualitative addition has enriched the National Library in the fields of political culture, democratic affairs, human rights, freedoms, women's and civil society issues and the parliament’s mechanisms of control and legislation as well as many other domains.
This package has been carefully prepared by an elite group of academicians, researchers and experts, either from among the BIPD staff or visiting overseas experts.
Believing in the key role it plays in the development of political awareness, the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) has been keen to put at the disposal of the readers for free all the paper and electronic publications, either at its specialized library or its website in order to keep the public from inside and outside the kingdom and the interested audience informed and hens contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and achievement of optimum benefit.
